Dorothy M. Tucker, 91, of Mishawaka, crossed over to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, in Hospice House, Elkhart.

  Dorothy was born February 26, 1926 in Masury, Ohio, a daughter of the late Guy and Estella (Evans) Litman. She grew up in Sharon, Pennsylvania and Gary, Indiana and was a graduate of Edison High School in Gary. Dorothy attended Business School in Hammond. She has been a permanent Mishawaka resident since 1999.

  Dorothy was a homemaker and also was employed for 12 years as Food Supervisor at a retirement home in Bremen. She was a member of Albright United Methodist Church in Mishawaka and was active in their Mary Mission Group. She enjoyed crocheting and flower gardening.

  Dorothy married Edward James Tucker on April 29, 2000 and he survives along with his children and grandchildren. Also surviving are Dorothy’s three children, Kathleen (Dennis) Neff of Goshen, Keith (Christine) Erickson of Bremen and Robert Erickson of Plymouth; six grandchildren, James Gardner, Sheryl (Jason) Juday, Gregory (Angie) Martz, Jeffrey (Cheri) Erickson, Andrew Erickson, Lisa Erickson; nine great grandchildren; a brother, William Litman of Brookfield, Ohio; and a sister, Doris Kendzor of Sharon, Pennsylvania; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Litman of Masury, Ohio.

  Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Erickson in 1975; brothers, Robert, Thomas and Billy Litman; and sisters, Ada Bemish and Mary Rodgers.

  Friends may spend time with Dorothy’s family Monday, May 15, from 10 am to 12 noon in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka.

  Services honoring the life and faith of Dorothy Tucker will be held Monday at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery.

  Memorials are suggested to Albright United Methodist Church or American Diabetes Association.
