June B. Moore, 90, of Mishawaka, passed away early Thursday morning, August 3, 2017 at Healthwin, South Bend.

June was born June 19, 1927 in Mishawaka, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Frances (Adrian) Bash. She was a 1945 graduate of Mishawaka High School.

On August 22, 1964, June married Thaddeus A. Moore. The couple made Mishawaka their home.

June was a homemaker. Prior to having a family she worked for 19 years at Bendix. She was a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka and their Rosary Society. June also belonged to Daughters of Isabella and Mishawaka Alumni Association. She was a former member of Harvest House. June enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She traveled to all 50 states and Europe. June also enjoyed music by Elvis Presley and Glenn Miller.

June’s family was precious in her life. Those surviving include her two daughters, Kathleen (Glenn) Cochran of Chandler, Arizona and Mary (Joseph) Moran of South Bend; five grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua and Alyssa Cochran, and Jacquelynn and Alexis Moran; a special “adopted” daughter and neighbor, Nancy (Bob) Hartman; and not be forgotten, June’s cat, Trixie.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Thaddeus, in 1994.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 7, at 11 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Christopher Lapp officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.

Friends may spend time with June’s family Sunday, August 6, from 2 – 5 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, where the Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 pm.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Pet Refuge. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.

June’s family would like to thank Healthwin, St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, her son-in-law, Joseph, and her granddaughter, Jacquelynn, for the wonderful care she received.
