Olga Louise “Queenie” McQueen, 89, of Mishawaka, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Elkhart Hospice House.
Queenie was born February 23, 1929 in Mishawaka, the daughter of the late Wiley and Jemima (Harkins) McQueen. She was a 1946 graduate of Mishawaka High School and lived most of her life in Mishawaka and South Bend.
Queenie started working at Ball Band during high school and was employed there until 1976. She later worked for South Bend School Corporation until retirement. She dearly loved her cats, enjoyed a good cocktail and always found beauty wherever she was. Her family fondly remembers how much she loved spending Christmas Eve at her daughter’s home with their family and friends.
