Ricardo Xavier Yzaguirre, 54, of Mishawaka passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019.
Ricardo known to many as “Rick” was born October 21, 1964 in Joliet, Illinois. He grew up in Texas where he attended Weslaco High School. He served his country in the US Army Reserves. For over 30 years he has lived in the South Bend/Mishawaka area.
Rick was employed for the past 11 years as a CNC Operator with Universal Forest Products in Granger. His prior employment was as a skilled welder. Rick’s favorite passion was working on cars and riding his motorcycle. He was a NASCAR fan and had an interest in guns.
Rick is survived by four children, Michael (Krisell) Ivey, Lori Yzaguirre, Ricardo (Akasia) Yzaguirre, Jr., and Nicole Yzaguirre; his mother and step father, Maria and Francisco Maldonado; his step mother, Martha Yzaguirre; his siblings, Rosario Yzaguirre, Norma (Ruben) Camarillo, Veronica (David) Gomez, Manuel (Laurena) Yzaguirre, Thelma (Roberto) Martinez, Cynthia Morales, Gracie (Joseph) Soto, Marivell (Nathan) Chavez and Esperanza Yzaguirre; and life-long friends, Kelly Manczunski, Howard Papineau and Chris Lubelski.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Porfirio N. Yzaguirre; and an infant son, Brandon.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, June 12, in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Kevin Bauman officiating. Military Honors by VFW 360/American Legion 161 Burial Squad will follow.
Rick’s family will receive friends from 10 am to 12 noon on Wednesday.
